A few of my pics are out of order but I've gone back and included them anyway. As you approach Groom, TX from the east there is a sign that says it is 8 miles. You can easily see the cross from that sign.

It is the largest cross in the western hemisphere.

I like it better than these. :)

The Russell truck stop on the TX/NM boarder has a free auto museum.

Some very nice cars from the American Graffiti era.

A 348 with tri power, or is it a 409?

I once turned one down for $180

My late uncle Lee had a white one for awhile but the mechanism that operates the top kept failing.

I rarely take 89A from Flagstaff south anymore because traffic is usually horrendous.

However the beauty is superb!

I need to be in Clarkdale, AZ so it was the most efficient route.

It is still one of the most beautiful roads in AZ

However, commercialization has ruined Sedona!

Heading home from Clarkdale I took the fun way through Jerome, AZ an historic mining town.

At the top of Jerome stands the Grand Hotel. Reputably the most haunted building in the world.
(I made that last part up)

I've taken these pics to show one of the forum members the view alongside of I-40 In NM and AZ. I won't caption anymore of them until I'm through with the scenery pics.

The new girl on the Corner!
